INFANT 2 (12 months - 18 months)
Our younger infant program is designed to stimulate each child’s
early stages of development at the appropriate time. Infants will be interacting
with the teacher as well as with other infants throughout the course of
the day. When he/she is not resting in the crib, time is spent in a bouncy
seat, in front of a mirror, in a swing and/or supervised “floor time” interacting
with other infants and teachers. The environment we provide for our infants
is appealing and stimulating to sight and sound. Age-appropriate manipulatives
are plentiful to assist in providing a stimulating environment to both
sight and sound.

Education:
Bachelor of Science: E1.Ed K-6 with a concentration on K-1
Experience:
Student Teacher for 2nd Grade. Volunteer for a preschool class for a year.
Philosophy:
Learning is active. Children learn best by doing and repetition. I believe education should involve activities to develop social, intellectual, emotional and physical skills on a daily basis.
How I intend to incorporate my philosophy in my teaching:
I use a variety of learning styles in my lesson plans. I incorporate visual aids, some type of auditory stimuli and movement. I plan to use songs, books, arts and crafts, dancing and exploration to aid in student learning.
